Jobseeker CV Guidelines

Von Keller Job board strives to protect jobseekers. Jobseekers should only upload documents that are relevant to the job search and are free of unnecessary personally identifiable information (PII). Unnecessary PII is defined in this context as, but not limited to, information such as full date of birth, financial information such as bank account numbers, and government-issued identification numbers such as national insurance or driving licence numbers. Indeed may remove content in order to help protect a jobseeker’s PII and professional reputation.

Acceptable content

CV
Cover letter
Writing sample
Headshot photos
Certifications
Professional licences

Not acceptable content

Photographs unrelated to employment, such as:
Photos of children
Pornographic images
Violent images
Any content unrelated to the jobseeking process

Can I use my CV’s original style?

We want to keep your CVs looking relatively uniform and in chronological order so that employers can review them quickly and easily.

When uploading your CV, make sure that the file is text-based. We recommend uploading a file type that is either a Word document (.doc, .docx), a PDF created from a text file (not scanned in as an image) or a plain .txt, .rtf, .html, or .odt file. Also, be sure that your file is no greater than 5 MB in size.

Keep in mind that you can sign in and make any necessary edits to your CV once it’s uploaded.

How to Post or Upload a CV?

Once you have your CV and confirmed and have found the job you are interested, click “Apply Now” button. Complete the form and upload your CV.

How to upload your CV

If you already have a CV saved on your device, click on the ‘Upload your CV’ button and select the file you would like to upload. This will automatically populate the text fields with your information. Indeed creates your CV using a standardised format that allows you to easily apply to job postings using our platform. When you initially upload your CV, its visibility will be set to public. To change your CV’s visibility settings.
